First Week of Work

Alright, yea, I’m working already, at a certain Software House located at Surabaya. There’s a lot of new things in this new world of job (of course, this is my first time working for real). New people, new boarding house (I mean, new for me), and a newbie (me) comes into my life.

About the boarding house: Oh I really like it. It is not very eye-catching if you judge it from appearance, but it has become a good place to stay for me. Food order and delivery, technically infinite source of water, and no mosquitos makes it, well, somewhat convenient.

But after one week I stayed, I realized there’s something missing. Yes, my keyboard. I brought it along today with some help of my relatives. I can’t play much, yet I just want to relax by playing it~

Now about the office I work in: Not bad, the people inside are all kind-hearted. It’s just they are not too lively – OK this is a software house which contains only programmers inside, what else should I expect? The Air Conditioner is always on (shit, my eyes are dried up fast), and there’s an infinite source of water here as well plus a free lunch. Everyone has a computer with them. When it’s time to work, even the neighboring people will chat via YM!

Right now I’m in the middle of training period. All I do is reading their software manual. It’s hell boring. Moreover, it’s no web application. I have to learn their desktop application flow. Yah, it’s like I’m paid for nothing. Of course it’s not anyone else’s fault. But I’ll bear with this for some time. Maybe I’m just not accustomed to it yet.
